Secondary glazed insert units.
An Insert panel is the most simple type of secondary glazing, and is part of Clearview’s Vision range. It’s simply an aluminium frame section of glass (17mm x 19mm frame)that can be used in situations where there is a minimal area to attach a panel. Insert units are ideal for attaching to glazing panels on a door or door surround. Secondary glazed Insert units can be semi-permanently screw fixed into position around a window or door glass. The panels are easily drilled on site (Face Fix Only), we recommend a fixing at 100mm from each corner and then at 200mm / 300mm intervals, subject to the size of the panel. Edging trim or fixing screws are not supplied with the insert unit.
An optional consideration is to attach a draught excluder compression tape (purchased elsewhere) as you may fit around a door, attached to the back of the Insert it will compress and help seal any lumps of surface imperfection.
