Secondary glazed insert units.
An Insert panel is the most simple type of secondary glazing, and is part of Clearview’s Classic range. It’s simply an aluminium frame section that can be used in situations where there is a minimal area to attach a panel. Insert units are ideal for attaching to glazing panels on a door or door surround. Secondary glazed Insert units can be permanently screw fixed into position on a window or door, or fixed by turnbuckles for ease of removal, if the window is small to medium sized. If you’d like to specify turnbuckle fixings on an insert panel order, remember to assess the panel weight and position before ordering to ensure suitability. Clearview do not recommend turnbuckle fixings for doors or larger windows. The panels are easily drilled on site, we recommend a fixing at 100mm from each corner and then at 200mm / 300mm intervals, subject to the size of the panel.
