Secondary glazed insert units.
A secondary glazing Insert panel is the simplest type of our aluminium secondary glazing, and is part of Clearview’s Vision range. It’s simply an aluminium frame section of glass (17mm x 19mm frame) that can be used in situations where there is a minimal area to attach a panel.
It’s possible to screw secondary glazed insert units into place around a window or door glass in a semi-permanent manner. The panels are simple to drill on location (Face Fix Only). Depending on the panel’s size, we advise fixing them 100 mm from each corner and then 200 mm or 300 mm apart. The insert unit does not include fastening screws or edging trim.
An optional consideration is to attach a draught excluder compression tape (purchased elsewhere) as you may fit around a door, attached to the back of the Insert it will compress and help seal any lumps of surface imperfection.
